The most important relationship you can have is with yourself.  The most important boundaries you can set are with yourself.

Many of us have heard about setting boundaries with others.  But few think about setting boundaries with yourself.

So obvious, but rarely spoken about.  Why is this so important?

How to set personal boundaries with yourself
The most loving thing you can do for yourself is to set and maintain healthy personal boundaries.

Because when you set a healthy boundary with yourself, you will begin to set healthy boundaries with others.  You will heal.

As soon as you begin to find the areas in your life where you have no boundaries and start to correct this, healthier boundaries will automatically emerge with others.

Let me prove it to you.

You ever meet a reformed smoker?  They are usually the ones with the least amount of tolerance for another who does smoke.

So it is with other areas in your life.  Clean them up and everything will start to fall into place.

Setting clear and clean personal boundaries raises your vibration.

Here is a list of common areas people quite often overlook in setting boundaries.  When corrected your life can begin to hum along much better.

  1. EATING HABITS.  Do you eat too much every time you sit down?  Do you choose foods that bloat you, sap your energy, make you anxious, sad or even cranky?
    1. BOUNDARY:  I pay attention to how I feel when I eat.  I eat the correct amount of food to nourish me, but not bloat me.  I eat in accordance with my body, what it needs and how it feels.
  2. CLUTTER.  Do you constantly have thoughts about what needs to be cleaned out and fixed in your house but never do it?
    1. BOUNDARY.  I set time aside every week to begin correcting these messy situations.  As I do I begin I increase my personal energy that was all locked up in this mess.
  3. CAR.  Do you drive a ramshackle vehicle, which needs to be cleaned, repaired or given maintenance?   BOUNDARY:  I drive a car that is safe, clean and well maintained.
  4. EXERCISE.  Do you have big pouch of a stomach?  Do you slouch when standing up?  Are you suffering from back, leg and knee pain?  Do you have a slow degradation of health in critical areas?  Do you eat the Standard American Diet and then wonder why your body is not functioning at optimal level?
    1. BOUNDARY.  I eat healthy real food, exercise, daily and maintain my body in the best way I can.  WORLD’S HEALTHIEST DIET.
  5. WORK.  Do you hate your work?  Do you know you have a talent which you have been ignoring?  Do you drink or take drugs because you are trying to quell that little voice inside that says, “I am not worth anything”?
    1. BOUNDARY.  Each day I take time to listen to my inner voice, what it says and follow it.  I nurture myself, my needs and my ideas.  I am important, have talent and use this talent now.  I am using my natural gifts and talents in service to others and am recognized by being paid for this or just thanked.

RELATIONSHIPS.  Do you see how setting personal boundaries will now affect how you set boundaries with others?  The more you set a boundary with yourself, the more you will awaken to see what needs to be done with your interpersonal relationships.

Personal boundaries are magical, actually.  Without trying to control another you will arrive at happiness, as you slowly and deliberately set boundaries with yourself.

Boundaries follow boundaries.
