CLAIRVOYANT: Psychic Prejudice. I used to tell people right away I am a Psychic Medium. I would defiantly enjoy the shock, fear or disgust on their face.
Then I realized that look was not as amusing as I thought it was. It carried with it prejudice against me I did not like. I wanted to be taken as stable, serious, substantial and safe. They did not.
This work is greatly misunderstood, shrouded in fear by religious teachings, horror movies and TV shows, “bad” experiences with unethical psychics and/or having had a personally “frightening” psychic experience.
CLAIRVOYANT: It just is the way it is.
What to do about it. So now I simply say I am a counselor. After getting to know them better, if trust develops, then I will reveal the details. It just is a matter of dealing with people they way they are, not the way I want them to be. It is a matter of love and acceptance of what is.
CLAIRVOYANT. When you know what you do has meaning, it is difficult to accept others don’t see it that way. However, you have to accept this fact.
