Introduction: How Do Emotions Affect Physical Health

I have a friend who developed breast cancer after the loss of her husband. I developed a virulent chronic two year respiratory infection after a terrible love breakup.

This breakup helped me understand truth about myself. While I nursed the physical aspects of this illness, I as well explored the emotional aspects behind it.

This finally led me to a renewed state of health which continues to this day.

Can you recall a loss in your life which could have affected your health? Share your loss stories in the comments below.

Today I was guided to retrieve material I channeled on this subject a few months ago. At that time I was beginning to have recurring upper respiratory infections as I had in the past.

In the quest to find the cause of this illness I asked spirit for guidance. This resulted in the channeling below.

Since then I have regained my health, by “being in balance with my truth.”

Physical truth? My truth at that time was eating a nutritionally empty diet out of balance with my physical needs.

Emotional truth? The emotional issues I had at that time had to do with emptiness in my life. Since then I have a regained passion for life, with new goals and activities.

When you ignore health issues, you are ignoring your truth. When you are ignoring emotional issues, you are again ignoring your truth.

After the channeling I wrote a researched article on the connection between mind and body a great way for you to take inventory of your emotional and physical health into the future.

Channeling Begins:

Introduction: How Do Emotions Affect Physical Health

The truth behind illness. Being out of balance with your truth.

Illness is being out of alignment with love, the only truth in the infinite space.

Illness means you are out of alignment with your truth, the truth of who you are what you want and how you really are.

When you are ill, it is time to take inventory to know your truth, your true self.

Each person on earth has an agenda to achieve, when something stops or blocks them from their soul plan, they become ill.

This is why energy healers see energy blocks in the body where the illness begins.

As time continues the energy block begins to manifest on the material plane causing what would be called an out of alignment condition.

So all physical illness is a spiritual illness first, before manifesting.

Rather than wait to get sick ask yourself each day “what is it I can do today to place me in alignment with my highest good, joy and love? How can I complete my soul plan today and into the future with the choices I make now.”

The more you do this, the healthier you become on all levels.

So use illness as a way to peer under your skin to your truth.

Illness means you are not living in alignment with who you truly are, a being of light, love and empowerment.

This of this like Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. When you are not fulfilling your needs to final attainment, you attunement is ruined. You become out of balance.

Then illness, physical illness, evidences.

When you ask yourself each day how you feel about your choices , your life and what you are doing with your time, you begin to get answers.

Each answer will become louder and clearer over time, if you keep asking.

When you ask, you will receive your blueprint, what is right for you to do with your life.

When you pursue this, you find illness is less available to you. You get sick less often. You thrive.

Namaste,

Amen.

The Connection – How Do Emotions Affect Physical Health

The intricate connection between emotions and physical health has been a subject of fascination and research for centuries. Contemporary studies increasingly reveal how our emotional well-being significantly impacts our physical health. Understanding this connection is crucial for both preventing and treating various ailments.

The Mind-Body Connection

The connection between mind and body reflects the interplay between our thoughts, emotions, and physical states. This relationship is mediated through a complex network involving the brain, endocrine system, and immune system. When we experience emotions, particularly negative ones such as stress, anxiety, or depression, our bodies respond in ways that can lead to physical illness.

Stress and Its Physiological Impact – How Do Emotions Affect Physical Health

Stress is one of the most well-documented emotions with a direct impact on physical health. When we encounter stressful situations, our bodies trigger a “fight or flight” response, releasing hormones such as adrenaline and cortisol. While this response is essential for immediate survival, chronic stress can lead to various health issues.

Long-term stress can suppress the immune system, making the body more susceptible to infections and diseases. It can also contribute to chronic conditions such as hypertension, heart disease, and diabetes. Furthermore, stress is known to exacerbate conditions like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and can lead to persistent muscle tension and pain.

Anxiety and Its Effects on Health

Anxiety, characterized by persistent worry and fear, can also lead to physical health problems. Chronic anxiety increases the risk of cardiovascular diseases by raising blood pressure and heart rate. It can disrupt sleep patterns, leading to insomnia, which further compromises immune function and overall health. Additionally, anxiety is often linked with gastrointestinal issues such as acid reflux, nausea, and digestive problems.

Depression and Physical Illness. How Do Emotions Affect Physical Health

Depression, a severe mood disorder, can significantly affect physical health. Individuals with depression often experience a range of physical symptoms, including chronic pain, fatigue, and digestive issues. Depression can also weaken the immune system, making the body more vulnerable to illnesses.

Research has shown that depression can increase the risk of heart disease. This link is partly due to unhealthy behaviors associated with depression, such as poor diet, lack of exercise, and smoking. Furthermore, depression can lead to increased inflammation in the body, contributing to various chronic diseases.

Psychosomatic Disorders

Psychosomatic disorders are conditions where psychological factors significantly contribute to physical symptoms. Examples include tension headaches, fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue syndrome. In these cases, emotional distress manifests physically, and treating the emotional root can often alleviate the physical symptoms.

The Role of Positive Emotions

While negative emotions can lead to physical illness, positive emotions can promote better health. Emotions such as happiness, contentment, and love trigger the release of endorphins and other “feel-good” hormones. These hormones enhance immune function, reduce pain perception, and promote faster recovery from illness.

Practices such as mindfulness, meditation, and yoga can foster positive emotions and help manage stress and anxiety. Engaging in social activities, nurturing relationships, and pursuing hobbies also contribute to emotional well-being and, consequently, physical health.

Conclusion – How Do Emotions Affect Physical Health

The connection between emotions and physical illness is a powerful reminder of the holistic nature of human health. By recognizing and addressing our emotional states, we can better manage and prevent physical illnesses. Integrating mental health care with physical health care is essential for achieving overall well-being. As research continues to unravel the complexities of the mind-body connection, it becomes increasingly clear that emotional health is a critical component of physical health.
