How Does Mediumship Work? Both the sitter and the medium need to learn how to be soft, loving and light to obtain best results.

Over the years I have become more aware of the way to get excellent results when working with spirit. It is to be in a loving, soft and allowing state of mind.

This is not only true for the medium, but for the sitter as well. This is why a sitter needs to be at the acceptance stage of grief to allow for a connection to happen.

Any of the other stages of grief will block the connection, attempting to force it from anger, block it with denial or depression and mask it with bargaining.

In my earlier stages of learning mediumship, I would try to force a connection and what I wanted to speak about.

Yes, I have found you can ask for information of a certain type, but to try to force it will not work.

You must learn to allow in a soft energy of love.

So how does mediumship work for both the medium and the sitter using this technique?

Here are some ideas and steps to allow your session with spirit to unfold in the best way possible.

1. Do a meditation beforehand.
2. Ask in prayer for what you want, but remain open to who or what does show up.
3. When the session opens be in a receptive, passive mode.
4. Do not attempt to force anything or become aggressive in attempting to “find” a soul that is reticent to appear.
5. If a soul does not appear sit back observing your senses, waiting for something to appear. If you smell smoke, follow the thread. If you see a bird follow the bird. If you feel a pain in your chest, keep going after it.
6. Follow all threads, even if they seem remote, stupid or silly.
7. Leave everything to spirit. Hand up the outcome to spirit.
8. Let go of contriving results, explanations or expectations.

The more you use this technique of being loving, receptive and flowing, the better the connection will be.

As an aside, this is not to say you become completely neutral. You need to learn as the medium to direct spirit but not control spirit.

This is the biggest secret. This is similar to riding a bike or surfing a wave.

You need to connect to the spiritual energy, the frontline tenticals of communication. As you pull the connection through more and more of the information will unfold.

Think of yourself like an explorer, following your instincts to uncover the rewards

of a fantastic mediumship session.
