Do Crystals Really Work?
Well, I would have to say, “YES!” This story will explain how I literally was knocked off my chair by the energy they emitted during a healing session with a friend.
A number of years ago I went with a girlfriend of mine to visit a Shaman of sorts. He had just returned to New York from the Amazon jungles, fully fluent in using healing crystals to draw out negative energy.
I hardly knew what we were there for, as at this time in my life and hers we had little knowledge of holistic healing or intuitive arts. I was curious so decided to attend her healing.
The healer, a strange troll like man, dressed in rough clothing that did not look quite washed, laid her down on a table. He began laying beautiful stones at various locations on her body.
Most of these locations seemed rather shall I say, “personal” as they were areas which had a large amount of nerves and sensitivity associated with them.
I thought maybe this was going to go rogue, but we both held steady and allowed the healing to begin. The Shaman then began chanting and played some sort of flute music on a boom box.
As he did this, I started writhing in pain, feeling large waves of energy float through me. My friend, who lie on the table, covered in these beautiful stones for healing, remained motionless.
Something about all that energy had come to me, rather than my friend on the table. While I liked the idea I could feel something odd, strange, and seemingly paranormal, I was as well, unusually curious.
What was this? Why had this happened? And the biggest question of all, why me? That day I had no answers. However since then I have learned how healing crystals can be for all sorts of issues. Today let’s talk about anxiety.
While I am not an expert in the use of crystals I did a bit of research on the subject.

Best Crystals For Healing Anxiety and Stress
Amethyst
The first of the top four crystals for anxiety and stress is amethyst, which is a wonderfully soothing purple colored stone.
You can keep some in your bedroom, and to keep you peaceful. You can also simply bring it around with you during the day for a soothing influence. Consider getting some amethyst jewelry to wear it on you daily.

Pure Quartz Crystal
The pure quartz crystal is the second of these crystals. It is a master healer and promotes our inner calm. It also helps us stay grounded during times of stress, as it is a very balancing stone.
We tend to become quite unbalanced and focused on the negative when we’re nervous or stressed, and this helps us re-balance and focus on the truth of the issue. It also amplifies the effects of the other crystals.
Sodalite for Panic Attacks
Sodalite is a soothing stone. It’s known as the stone of tranquility, and it aids in mind relaxation. It also aids in the reduction of panic attacks.
It’s helpful if you’re suffering from worry and anxiousness, and it also helps to balance emotions and prevents us from becoming too emotional, as well as relieve tension and anxiety and fear.
Lapis Lazuli the Most Effective
When individuals use lapis lazuli for the first time, they often feel a shift right away. This stone actually contains lithium, which is used in anti-anxiety medication in western medicine.
In general, lapis lazuli relieves stress, improves mental health, balances your feeling, especially when you’re feeling overwhelmed by emotions or worry. Of the stones mentioned, it has the most effect and appears to really help with any mental health difficulties.
This is a stone of deep serenity – it relieves our stress in order to deliver peace. It’s also a strong protective stone that shields from negative energies. If you’re worried about other people, this is an excellent stone to carry. It also brings harmony, something we tend to lose during nervous or stressful times.
Another benefit of lapis lazuli is that it promotes self-awareness, allowing us to better understand our anxiety and control it with the help of these crystals.

How to Use Healing Crystals for Anxiety
These are the steps to do if you are healing someone else. They can be adapted to use on yourself as well.
Before beginning it is recommended to play some soothing meditation music which can augment and anchor the healing.

Using your intuition, place the crystals you’ve chosen for healing anxiety on the body at the seven chakra points, and all the other spots you’ve intuitively previously identified.
To anchor the energy of the person you are healing, place a grounding crystal like tourmaline or smokey quartz at the feet.
Remember to heed your instincts if you feel inspired or compelled to lay extra crystals. In this example, we’ll start with the root chakra and work our way up.
Step 1. Imagine white light entering in from the crown chakra, flowing down through the body, through the arms, and out of the palms, bathing this lovely crystal in this white light energy, with the aim to clear and cleanse this chakra of all negative energy.
Simply imagine this magnificent white light, which is universal energy, while repeating an affirmation like “This chakra is cleared and cleansed and full of positive, vital life force energy.”
If any thoughts arise, simply observe them and let them go, allowing your mind to return to your objective. Hold this image for around five minutes, or until you intuitively feel it is finished.
You will know when it’s time to go on to the next chakra. Finish this chakra by imagining the white light growing into a ball of energy the size of your hand and dissolving into the base chakra.
Step 2. Repeat this process for the next six chakras. Instead of placing your hands above your chakras, visualize the light in your mind’s eye if you’re doing this layout on yourself.
You can repeat the entire sequence as many times as you feel guided or simply one time.
Step 3. As you finish the healing, stay in that quiet and reverent state, honoring the person’s energy. You might end with an affirmation like “divine love and healing fill each chakra.”
When you feel it’s time, remove the crystals from the subject’s body and invite the subject to slowly open their eyes. The entire procedure should take about 35 to 40 minutes.
Allow the individual you’re working with to lay there for another five minutes in relaxation and to allow their energy to settle.

Self Healing With Crystals
The above healing sequence is best done by a practitioner for you. However, if you want to heal yourself there are various resource which can help facilitate this.
