Rachel wanted to buy a new car for a long time. She was up to 190,000 miles on her fifteen year old Honda. It rattled and shook when she drove it. She didn’t think it was safe to drive any longer. The problem was she just did not have the money to pay outright and her credit was bad.

Even though Rachel knew about The Law of Attraction she was unable to get results with it. For about 18 months she had been taking time to visualize a new car in her life. Yet every time she went out to her parking lot, there sat her old car sadly smiling back at her. She began to suspect she was missing something.

She decided to speak to a friend who taught spiritual subjects. Her friend explained to Rachel that the Law of Attraction operates on your feelings. If you feel badly about something you will attract more of the bad.

The problem was, Rachel had hidden her negative feelings about the old car deep within her subconscious. She was numb, tolerating them without awareness. What was worse, these feelings were insidiously attracting the old car to her, not a new car!

Rachel was a bit taken aback. She was not aware of her negative feelings about her old car. She thought she just accepted it and was trying to bring in a new car.

Her friend explained to Rachel that there is no need to despair. Her negative feelings can easily be dispelled so she can attract in something new.

Rachel’s friend told her to close her eyes and begin a meditation for manifesting. She was to imagine she was going for a ride in her car. Rachel saw in her mind’s eye her car in the parking lot.

Her feelings immediately sank. She stayed with this, becoming aware of sad and embarrassed feelings. It was amazing how feelings so potent could have been so hidden.

Then she mentally drove it. The car rattled. The steering wheel felt loose and didn’t control the car well. She felt insecure and frightened. Again, Rachel was amazed at how she had gotten used to this feeling, was tolerating and numb to it. She speculated that perhaps we don’t feel because it is too painful.

Her friend told her that these feelings had a place in her body. She was to hunt for them and find where they were lodged. She could not move forward until she had identified them there. She quickly felt a knot in her stomach.

Rachel was now supposed to “see” her feelings like a character or thing. She saw a swarm of bees coming at her. Any image that came to mind was correct, her friend said. However, it was important to personify her feelings into something visual.

Once identified this image was to be sent to an omnipotent spiritual power to handle for her. As Rachel did this, she immediately felt a calm and peace coming over her. It was quite dramatic.

Her friend told Rachel to now visualize driving her new car. She was to give thanks to her omnipotent higher power that it was in her life, coming to her for highest good of all. Rachel enjoyed the feelings this visualization gave her.

Within a week, a friend called Rachel to announce she was being transferred for work and was looking for someone to buy her nearly new car. Because of the speed requirement of the move, her friend was offered a large bonus from her employer. This allowed her friend to sell the car for less than its value at payments Rachel could afford. The car was hers!
