Trance Mediumship: What It Feels Like. Ever wonder what it is like to go completely into a trance and receive lucid communications from spirit? Well, strap on your seat belt!
The first part of this answer is going to sound rather banal. It does not feel like anything.
When I first entered a complete trance state it was like I was shoved into a corner of my mind, while something energetically more powerful than me took over.
Yes, it was a bit like “Invasion of the Body Snatchers“.
I was not afraid, though, which is probably why this was a successful trance mediumship session.

Story Behind My First Trance Mediumship Experience
This could be a rather long story, but I will try to keep it short.
When I was 30 years old a friend gave me a book called, “The Game of Life and How to Play It,” by Florence Scovell Shinn. This book said if you want your abundant destiny to unfold follow your intuition.
This book was written in 1925 by an artist and metaphysician, but still is rated 4.8 on Amazon for its relevant excellence.
So one October morning in Queens New York, I decided to literally do what my intuition told me to do until I arrived somewhere!
I did not know what I was doing. I simply asked myself should I turn right or left, go here or there, until….
I arrived in Manhattan’s Central Park next to a man I had never met before. We engaged in conversation.
I knew I had arrived where I was supposed to be when he told me that he had been frequenting the same trance medium I had been in Manhattan.
Quite a coincidence, this middle aged man regularly had readings with this then famous medium. The name I remember cannot be verified so that will remain a mystery.
Anyway my new friend took me to another reader he had in the northern Manhattan Inwood area. This psychic was formerly a Medical Doctor in Cuba, who had escaped and left that career behind.
Instead he now practiced the Santoria Religion and was a psychic advisor.
His Tarot Deck was so old the pictures on the cards were worn away. Yet this Cuban MD who spoke with a heavy Spanish accent told me that my Spiritual Guides were ready to come through to me.
As soon as I went home I asked they come through. To my surprise a booming voice emitted from my throat talking TO me.
This voice developed into something much stronger over time. Finally one evening at the home of my new Central Park friend, I went into a full blown trance.
My friend had had me over for dinner. He knew I was then channeling guides so my friend wanted to see if I could bring through his Master Guide.
This Master Guide was regularly brought through by the famous Trance Medium in Manhattan that we both had frequented.
I said, “OK,” then asked this guide come through, not having any preconception of what to expect.
How it Felt When I did Trance Mediumship
If I knew what was about to happen I probably would not have said “yes” to my friend.
It was like a huge cloud of energy swooped over me. I was crushed into submission.
The only part of me that I could feel or know was a tiny speck in the upper right portion of my vision field that still saw the room I was in.
The remainder of my vision field was black. Yes! I, whoever that was at that moment, was almost blind.
I did sense that I was having a conversation with my friend, but I was deaf too. Whatever was going on had taken over my body almost completely.
When it was over I felt the huge energy swoosh up and out of me. There I was back in the room.
I asked my friend, “Who did you speak with through me?” He said he would not tell me that name other than it was a famous person in the Bible.
“Great,” I thought. “He gets a full channeling through me of someone I will never know.” I felt a bit used, but was so relaxed, I just let it go.
Conclusion: How it Feels To Do Trance Mediumship
I have never had this happen fully again. It happened once because I had no guard up. I was innocent and did not know what to expect.
But since then I have tried. I keep getting in my way to control the situation.
I imagine if I were really serious about doing trance mediumship again I would have to be in a trance mediumship development circle with another person to spot me.
This is something on my bucket list, but haven’t gotten there yet.
Instead all sessions I do are in light trance and I am a conscious channel and medium. This seems to bring excellent results, amazing to all that join me.
